As part of the Sisterhood, we want your involvement in all the activies the Women's Committee sponsors and programs we create to better increase the recruitment, retention and education of our membership. Each subcommittee is led by women in the steering committee who have firsthand experience in working in the field. By Laws
Duties: Create a set of by-laws by which the Steering Committee will be governed and make any changes necessary as the organization progresses.

Communication, Phone Bank and Website
Duties: Keeping members up to date with events and meetings, running phone banking and maintaining website.

Mentoring
Duties: Accept applications for program, match mentors and mentees, provide mediation, for any problems that occur within a mentoring pair, organize and facilitate meetings/trainings as necessary.

Education/ Workshops
Duties: Running workshops that will address issues to further educate NYCDC members.

Political Action
Duties: Election involvement, help campaign on different teams as coordinated by Steve McInnis.

Outreach/Public Speaking
Duties: Anything outside of the union –job fairs, career days, speaking engagements.

Charity/Social Events
Duties: Charity events, community events, softball, parades, etc.
